ACCESS SCIENCE
The online version of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology. Includes 7,000 articles, 115,000 definitions, and biographies of more than 1,200 key scientists.

CANADIAN DIRECTORY TO FOUNDATIONS & GRANTS
The Canadian Directory to Foundations & Grants is an online database containing updated information on over 2,200 Canadian grant-making foundations.

CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS
A bio-bibliographical guide to current writers in fiction, general nonfiction, poetry, journalism, drama, motion pictures, television, and other fields. Provides complete biographical and bibliographical references for more than 90,000 authors in the U.S. and around the world.

ENCYCLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA ONLINE
EB Online includes the complete encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, the Britannica Book of the Year and an Internet directory that includes more than 130,000 links to Web sites selected, rated, and reviewed by Britannica editors.

ENCYLOPÉDIE HACHETTE MULTIMÉDIA EN LIGNE

L'Encyclopédie Hachette Multimédia en Ligne includes:

  • over 50,000 French-language encyclopedia articles;
  • a French-language dictionary containing more than 66,000 definitions;
  • a complete atlas;
  • a directory of Web sites (validated).

Full-text articles from January 1985 onwards from La Presse, Le Soleil, Le Devoir, Le Droit and L'Actualité. Also included are full-text articles from magazines L'Express, Le Nouvel observateur, Le Point, Le Courrier international. The Westmount Examinier is also offered, as well as the Chronicle and Cités Nouvelles.

LE GRAND ROBERT & COLLINS
The electronic edition of the largest Collins-Robert French dictionary includes the entire content of the latest editions of the Collins-Robert Unabridged French Dictionary and the two-volume Collins-Robert Comprehensive French Dictionary and allows you to perform English to French or French to English translation. It gives access to over one million translations and includes some 120,000 entries.

The Literature Resource Center is a full-text electronic database that provides online access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of authors and their works from every age and literary discipline.

LE PETIT ROBERT
The online edition of the Petit Robert offers the definitions of 60,000 French words, 35,000 quotations, 180,000 cross-references (synonyms, analogies, antonyms, homonyms) and many other tools for French usage.

  • Discovery : Over 2,000 full text magazines covering general topics.
  • Canadian Newsstand, CBCA current events : Full-text articles from the major Canadian dailies including the Montreal Gazette, Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, etc.
  • CBCA Reference: This collection provides in-depth access to a variety of Canadian periodicals, ranging from academic titles to special interest publications to general magazines.
